Lucie H.L. (Ende) Huettner

HOLDEN – Lucie H. L. (Ende) Huettner, 99, passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 in Starks, Maine after an illness. Her husband of 34 years, Lothar A. Huettner, passed away in 1984. She leaves three daughters, Margaret Tarvit of Madison, ME, Barbara H. Huettner of Starks, ME and Rosemarie McGowan of Indian Trail, NC; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Lucie was born in Potsdam, Germany, the daughter of Paul and Ida (Ebel) Ende and immigrated to the United States before settling in Holden in 1967. She was an elder care worker at Tri-Valley in Webster for 20 years before retiring in 2006 at the age of eighty-nine. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Lucie’s family on Tuesday, October 18, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 12 noon in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. Burial will follow at Grove Cemetery in Holden.
