Karen L. Spellane

December 22, 1945 — July 2, 2007

WORCESTER – Karen L. Spellane, 61, of 90 Ararat St., died at home on Monday, July 2, 2007.

She leaves two sons, John M. Spellane and his wife Kim of Old Greenwich, CT, and Marc F. Spellane and his wife Kelly of Shrewsbury, NJ; a brother, Frederick H. Sharrocks, Jr. of Alexandria, Virginia; two grandchildren, Tucker and Spencer Spellane. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Frederick and Sophie (Symonick) Sharrocks, Sr., and has lived in Worcester most of her life.

Karen was a graduate of North High School. She worked as a traffic coordinator for Norton Company for 20 years and was a member of Greendale Peoples Church. She was devoted to her children and grandchildren. Karen was loved by her family and friends.

Family and friends are invited to calling hours from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, July 6th, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. The funeral service for Karen will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 7th, in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue (Rte. 56), Paxton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to United Way of Central Massachusetts, 484 Main Street, Worcester, MA 01608.
