WEST BOYLSTON – John L. Piscione, 62, of Lost Oak Road, died Monday, March 30, 2009 in UMass Memorial Healthcare, Worcester, surrounded by his loving family.
He leaves his wife of 44 years, Kathleen E. (Nagle) Piscione; two sons, Mark D. Piscione and his wife Laura of Sterling and Brian A. Piscione and his fiancee Tiana of San Francisco, CA; a brother, Albert Piscione of Palo Alto, CA; a sister, Maryann Hall of Sutton; 4 granddaughters, Julia, Sarah, Maria and Rachel; several nephews and nieces. He was born in Worcester, son of Albert and Margaret (Houlihan) Piscione, and lived in Holden for 25 years before moving to West Boylston 10 years ago.
He was a graduate of Classical High School in Worcester and received an Associate's degree from Nichols College. He served as a corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps for 6 years and is a veteran of the Vietnam War.
He was owner and operator of Sturbridge Self Storage for 12 years. Previously he owned IMAC in Sturbridge. He was a former member of St. George's Church in Worcester and enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 2nd, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. The funeral service for John will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 3rd, in the funeral home. Burial will be private in St. John's Cemetery, Worcester. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Lung Association of Massachusetts, 460 Totten Pond Road, Suite 400, Waltham, MA 02451.
