Biography
NORWALK, CT – Louise (Famiglietti) Pacheco, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2016 at the age of 94, in the company of her family at Notre Dame Long Term Care in Worcester. She was born in Westport, CT the daughter of Carmine and Concetta (Gilbertie) Famiglietti and was a resident of Norwalk, CT for over 70 years.
Louise leaves her son, John Pacheco, Jr. and his wife, Frances of St. Augustine, FL; her daughter, Kathleen Paracer and her husband, Surindar of St. Augustine, FL; her sister, Rosemary Andresen of Norwalk, CT. Louise also leaves her dearly loved grandchildren, Amy Coghlin, Mark Paracer, Brian Pacheco and Cheryl Bowden; as well as her great grandchildren, Nathan and Ryan Coghlin, Ellis and Avi Paracer, Bridget, Lucia and Renee Pacheco and Elena and Maya Bowden; and many nieces and nephews. She was one of six children and was predeceased by Connie and Josephine Faust and Anthony “Oscar” Famiglietti and Sebastian “Lefty” Famiglietti.
Louise worked at C.E. Hooper, GTE as a legal secretary and Cuthberson’s Imports. She was a member of St. Jerome’s Women’s Guild, a life member and past president of SNBC auxiliary, an election poll worker, a volunteer for over 25 years for the Mid-Fairfield County Chapter of the American Red Cross and was an active member of the VFW post 603. She also was a member of the Norwalk Senior Center, AARP and the Columbiettes. Louise was devoted to her family and enjoyed knitting, sewing, playing golf, walking and boating when she was able, but her greatest love was spending time with her family.
A committal service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 25, at Assumption Kings Highway Cemetery in Westport, CT. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Massachusetts/New Hampshire Chapter, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
