Having completed Nurses' Training at Notre Dame de Lourdes Hospital in Manchester, NH, she worked at Boston City Hospital, St. Vincent Hospital, and Fairlawn Hospital in Worcester.

Louise was a parishioner of St. Columba Parish in Paxton, where she served as a lector and catechism teacher. She was also a member of the Paxton Women's Club. She enjoyed knitting, needlepoint, word puzzles, Hallmark movies, and traveling with her husband and children. For the past year, she enjoyed retirement from farm life in her new home in Tatnuck Park at Worcester. With constant kindness and good spirits, she was much loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.
