STERLING/BOYLSTON - Louise C. Anderson, 75, passed away on Friday, September 22 surrounded by her family, at UMass Memorial Healthcare - University Campus, Worcester. She had recently moved to Sterling after living for 23 years in Boylston. After she was diagnosed with cancer in December, her grace and dignity prevailed. She always focused on the positive aspects of her experiences, even as she neared the end of her life. She was born in Riverton, NJ on January 3, 1942, to Charles and Jessie (Hitchner) Coward. She attended Moorestown Friends School in Moorestown, NJ, followed by Pennsylvania State University, graduating in 1964. She owned her own bookkeeping service for small businesses for the last 20 years. Louise loved to fly airplanes, and was a magnet for friendly people. These qualities came together at the Fitchburg and Marlboro Airports, where she formed close bonds through careful piloting and extensive volunteer work on newsletters, fundraisers, and the Young Eagles program. She brought joy to all through her love for dogs, community groups, and especially family events, where her smile, hugs and delicious dinners would make everyone feel welcome. Left to remember Louise and her room-brightening nature are her husband of 28 years, Tom Anderson, her first husband, John Trogolo; her children, Laura Gibson and her husband, Pete, Jeff Trogolo and his wife, Julie, and Mike Trogolo and his wife, Kathy; her grandchildren, Heather, Meg, Meredith, Amanda and Zoe; and brothers Chuck Coward and his wife, Elaine and Paul Coward and his wife, Judy. Family, friends, and others whose lives Louise touched are invited to celebrate her life at a memorial service at the First Congregational Church of Boylston, 10 Church St., Boylston, at 6:30pm on Friday, September 29, 2017. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Experimental Aircraft Association
