PAXTON – Lorraine A. (Marin) Lupien, age 81, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late Arthur and Florence A. (Auger) Marin.
Lorraine graduated from St. Stephens High School in Worcester and went on to work for State Mutual. There she met lifelong friend Barbara Lupien who introduced Lorraine to the love of her life, Everett. The two were married and settled in Paxton to raise their family. Later in life, Lorraine worked at Anna Maria College where she enjoyed interacting with the students and faculty. She was especially fond of the international students and found it rewarding to help them adjust to their studies abroad.
Lorraine was a member of St. Columba Parrish. She enjoyed painting, ceramics and tending to her flower gardens. Lorraine had a beautiful singing voice and relished the opportunity to share in song with family and friends. She loved to travel and especially treasured the memories she had of trips to Spain and Bermuda with her husband.
Above all, she cherished watching her two grandsons grow up. She couldn’t have been more proud of the men they have become.
She is survived by her son, Michael E. Lupien of Tucson, AZ; her daughter, Diane M. Mullaney of Paxton, with whom she lived; her two grandsons, David P. Mullaney and his wife, Teraisa S. of Rochester, NY and Matthew J. Mullaney of Worcester. She is predeceased by her husband, Everett L. Lupien; two daughters, Linda L. and Karen A. Lupien; and two brothers, Arthur V. and Norman F. Marin.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Lorraine’s family from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, September 21st at the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, September 22nd at 11:00 am, at St. Columba Parish, 10 Richards Ave., Paxton, with interment at Mooreland Cemetery.
