WEST BOYLSTON – Lorraine (Eisnor) DeLong, 82, a devoted mother and friend, died peacefully on Saturday, May 6, 2006 in Portland, Maine.
Her husband of 41 years, Philip DeLong, Jr., died in 1989. She leaves her daughters, Pam DeLong of Middleborough and Martha O‘Connor of Westbrook, Maine; a step-son, Roger DeLong; three grandsons, Kelsey and Corey O’Connor of Maine and Tommy Carey of Middleborough; and a special niece, Jane Briggs of Sandwich. A sister Phyllis Prada, a brother John Shortt, and a step-daughter Joanne Johnson, predeceased her.
Mrs. DeLong was born in Worcester the daughter of Morton F. and Ruth D. (Palmer) Eisnor. She was a lifelong resident of West Boylston attending West Boylston schools, moving to Maine only when her health declined.
The funeral for Mrs. DeLong will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, May 15, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery, 119 Webster Street, Worcester. A calling hour will be held from 12 to 1 p.m. prior to the service in the funeral home.
