S Ruth L. (Kovar) Morse
April 5, 1922 — July 27, 2010
PAXTON – Ruth L. (Kovar) Morse, 88, of Mt. View Drive, entered into eternal life peacefully in her home on Tuesday, July 27, 2010.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Richard P. Morse, Sr.; two sons, Richard P. Morse, Jr. and his wife Linda of Princeton and David S. Morse and his wife Cynthia of Rutland; a daughter, Laurie J. Morse of Paxton; five grandchildren, Amy Peterson, Beth Szydlik, and Ryan, Bryant and Derrick Morse; eight great-grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces. She is predeceased by four siblings, Robert, Edward, Helen and Charlotte and a granddaughter, Jennifer. She was born in Holden, the daughter of Hans and Augusta (Yostmeyer) Kovar, and lived over 50 years in Worcester and Holden before moving to Paxton in 1974.
Mrs. Morse graduated from Commerce High School in Worcester. She was an accomplished knitter, enjoyed working in her flower gardens and was an avid sports fan and bowler.
A private memorial service will be held in the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Holden. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lutheran Healthcare Center of Worcester, 26 Harvard Street, Worcester, MA 01609. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden.
