Donna L. Johnson

RUTLAND – Donna L. Johnson, 57, of 6 Edith Lane, a life-long resident of Rutland, died on Easter Sunday, April 8, 2007, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

She leaves her sister, Marilyn L. Zoppo and her husband Robert of Rutland; her nephew, Daniel Zoppo and his wife Dawn of Plano, Texas; great-nephew and godson, Dominic Zoppo; and great-niece and goddaughter, Sophia T. Zoppo. Her brother, Robert Johnson, predeceased her. She was born in Holden, daughter of Frederick T. and Mary Agnes (O’Malley) Johnson.

Donna was a graduate of Marion High School in 1968 and worked as a technician for Verizon, formerly New England Telephone Company, for 33 years, retiring due to illness in 2001. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Church.

The funeral for Donna will be held on Friday, April 13th, from the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick’s Church, 258 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Rutland. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue (Rte. 56), Paxton. Calling hours are from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 12th, in the funeral home.
