WORCESTER – Mary (Linn) Curran, 94, formerly of Worcester, died Monday, December 10, 2007 at her daughter’s home in Palm Coast Florida, after an illness.
Her husband of 51 years, John J. Curran, died in 1990. She leaves her son John R. Curran and his wife Marie of Holden; two daughters, Cornelia Lund and her husband Myles of Palm Coast, FL and Margaret M. Early and her husband John of Holden; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces. A daughter, Judith Reardon, and three brothers, Arthur, Robert and Frederick Linn, predeceased her. She was born and raised in Boston the daughter of Daniel and Margaret (O’Brien) Linn and lived most of her life in Worcester until recently moving to Florida.
Mrs. Curran graduated from Roxbury Memorial High School and St. Elizabeth Hospital School of Nursing in Brighton. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Notre Dame Mother’s Guild, Dickens’ Fellowship Club, Friday Afternoon Club, and St. Elizabeth’s Hospital School of Nursing Alumni Association. She volunteered at Assumption College for many years.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Curran will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, December 18th in Immaculate Conception Church, 353 Grove Street, Worcester. Entombment will follow in Notre Dame Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pernet Family Health Services, Inc., 237 Millbury Street, Worcester, MA 01610. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden.
