Linette Sue Kelley

June 25, 1943 — April 3, 2025

WORCESTER - Linette S. Kelley, 81, of Worcester, MA, passed away on April 3, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at the Jewish Healthcare Center.

She was born on June 25, 1943, in Yale, Michigan, to the late Russell E. and Zelma Orlaine (DeVries) Sutton. Linette grew up in Holly, Michigan and was a graduate of Adelphian Academy in Holly and Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan. She raised her sons in Lancaster, MA and lived many years in Sterling and Worcester, MA.

Linette cherished time spent with her family, especially when gathered at her home for birthdays, eating tostados, or celebrating Christmas, which began in early September for her. She found great joy in walking, playing with her grandchildren, and spending time outdoors, with one of her favorite spots being the top of Mt. Wachusett in Princeton, MA. Linette saw the good in people, reminding us that we are all human, and her spirituality was based on her connections to those around her. She had an inner strength and an outer laughter that she shared generously with those around her.

Linette is survived by her sons, Sean Kelley and his wife Julie of Holden, MA, and Ryan Kelley and his wife Una of Chapel Hill, NC; her former husband, Michael Kelley; her beloved grandchildren, Neil, Max, Maryn, Abigail, Jack, and Colin; her great-grandson, Theodore; her siblings, Dorothy Knecht, Ardith Trubey and her husband Ed, Christina Peterson and her husband Kris, John Sutton and his wife Janice, and Glenn Sutton and his wife Kathleen; and many nieces, nephews, and close friends. She was predeceased by her parents as well as sisters, Edith Sutton and Barbara Munson.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date, at the convenience of the family.

Linette lived in a wonderful and fulfilling community surrounded by many dear friends at Eisenberg Assisted Living (part of the Jewish Healthcare Center) for over three years, and she spent her final weeks under the loving care of many caring nurses and staff members at the Jewish Healthcare Center.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Linette's name to the Jewish Healthcare Center of Worcester, MA, https://www.jhccenter.org/make-a-donation/ .
