Linda Aline (Prentiss) Wilson

January 16, 1945 — June 24, 2015

LANCASTER – Linda A. (Prentiss) Wilson, 70, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, June 24, 2015, with her loving family by her bedside. She was born in Fitchburg, a daughter of the late Harold C. Prentiss and Bessie L. (James) Wright.

Linda’s family journey began as a teenager, with her marriage to her beloved husband, Everett Raymond Wilson. Together, the family home was soon filled with six beautiful children. She created a loving and caring home that formed a wonderful foundation for their children. Through the years, she continually welcomed people into her home, many of whom are still like family. Following the sudden death of Everett in 1998, Linda returned to school and became a certified nursing assistant and worked at River Terrace in Lancaster for many years. There her personality spilled over into her loving care of the patients she met. Linda also found time to be creative, and shared her talents mostly through the creation of dolls and their outfits, as well as crocheted items offered for sale at area craft shows. She enjoyed gardening, painting and played the organ and piano in her younger years. Visiting Disney World was always a special trip for her. Linda also enjoyed making financial donations to the Mohegan Nation in Connecticut, where she made regular visits. She was an avid sports fan of baseball and football, enthusiastically supporting the local teams. Linda truly was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and mother-in-law, as well as a supportive sibling, and will be forever missed by her family.

Linda leaves her six children, Steven Paul Wilson and his companion, Lisa Yoshida of Mason, NH, Shari Ann McDowell and her husband, Thomas of Lancaster, Debrah Aline Connell and her husband, Don of Columbia, SC, Melinda Lou Vosburg and her husband, Howard of Clinton, Katherine Louise Hartman and her husband, Ryan of Winchendon, and Everett Raymond “Chippy” Wilson, Jr. and his wife, Tina of Clinton; her four siblings, Philip R. She was predeceased by her twin children, Kevin Everett and Kari Lynn, as well as her siblings, Leland Wright, Lillian Blood and Sylvia Thompson.
