HOLDEN - Linda S. Maki, 89, of Holden, died peacefully on Monday, July 8, 2013, at the Christopher House in Worcester. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Linda (Jokela) and Ivar Maki.
She grew up in Holden and graduated from the former Holden High School. She was a home health aide in the area for many years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Holden and participated in several bowling leagues over the years.
Linda leaves her daughter, Sallie Spring of Worcester; her grandchildren, Rebecca Auger and Brian Spring, Sr.; and her great-grandchildren, Thomas Auger, Linda Auger, Amanda Spring and Brian Spring, Jr. She was predeceased by her brothers, John, David, William and Eino Maki and her sisters, Elsie Maki and Alma Latourneau.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. A funeral service celebrating Linda’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 11, at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Grove Cemetery, 1290 Main Street (Rte. 122A) Holden.
