Linda L. (Lanpher) Gould

SPENCER - Linda L. (Lanpher) Gould, 80, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 31, 2021, at the Quaboag Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center. Born in North Hyde Park, VT and raised in Princeton, she was a daughter of Herbert and Isabelle (Boylan) Lanpher.
Linda was an active member of the First Congregational Church of Spencer for many years. When her boys were young, she worked part-time in food service for the Spencer-East Brookfield School System and as time went on she accepted a full-time position. In 2002 Linda retired as the Director of Food Services after 22 years of dedicated service. In her spare time, Linda enjoyed gardening and working side by side with her husband on the family farm while caring for her family.
She will be lovingly missed and remembered by her three sons, Steven Gould and his wife, Diana of West Brookfield, Kim Gould of Spencer and Chris Gould and his wife, Natalie of Berwick, ME; her brother, John Lanpher and his wife, Janice of Princeton; her three sisters, Joan Dewey of Randolph, VT, Lynn Croxell and her husband, Dick of Martinsville, VA and Ann Hess of Belchertown; her two granddaughters, Angela and Kayla Gould; a sister-in-law, Marrianne Gould of New Mexico; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband of 39 years, Philip Gould, she was predeceased by her brother, James Lanpher and her sister, Jan Morrison.
A private family gathering will be held at a later date. Memorial donations in her name may be made to UMass Memorial Office of Philanthropy, One Biotech Park, 365 Plantation Street, Worcester, MA 01605 or donate.umassmemorial.org.
