HOLDEN, MA/PORT CHARLOTTE, FL – Linda Joy (Dimmick) (Schoeller) Wyld, 63, formerly of Holden, died on Monday, August 20, 2012 at the Tidewell Hospice House in Port Charlotte, FL, after a courageous battle with ALS. Linda was born on September 7, 1948 in Holden, the daughter of C. Leon and Shirley (Boyce) Dimmick. Linda graduated from Wachusett Regional High School and went on to work for Morgan Construction in Worcester for 15 years and later CTX Mortgage in Florida.
She leaves her husband, Charles W. Wyld, Jr. of Port Charlotte; her sons, Douglas G. Hudson and his wife Kathleen of Titusville, FL/Afghanistan and Matthew S. Hudson of West Boylston; a sister, Sandra Tremblay and her husband John of Rutland; a brother, David Dimmick and his wife Bonnie and their three children, Taylor, Jason and Erica, all of Sutton; her best friends, Betty Hansen and Nancy Kausmen of Port Charlotte and Sally Lux of Holden; and her second husband, Charles “Chuck” Hudson of West Boylston. She was predeceased by her mother, father and former husband, James R. Schoeller who died in 1994.
A private graveside service will be held at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to Tidewell Hospice, 1144 Veronica St., Port Charlotte, FL 33952.
