HOLDEN – Lina P. (Bou-Harb) Malkoun, 52, passed into eternal life peacefully on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at the Holden Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center.
She leaves her beloved husband of 24 years, Paul L. Malkoun; she also leaves her loving children, Robert P. Malkoun of Holden and Talia P. Malkoun of Boston; her loving parents, Joseph N. and Samira J. (Abou-Samra) Bou-Harb of Peabody; her dear brother, Walid J. Bou-Harb and his wife of Columbus, Ohio, her dear brother, Dr. Talal J. Bou-Harb and his wife of Holden; her dear sister, Norma A. Haddad and her husband of Peabody; and her dear nephews and nieces.
She was born in Beirut, Lebanon on August 12, 1959 and attended the Lebanese University in Lebanon in 1979. She immigrated to the U.S. in 1987. Lina was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Church (Maronite-Diocese of St. Maron of Brooklyn) in Worcester and enjoyed making arts and crafts for her home.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, November 25, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. A Funeral Mass for Lina will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 26, in Our Lady of Mercy Maronite Catholic Church, 341 June Street, Worcester, MA 01602. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, 1326 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden.
