Life Legacy
HOLDEN – Lillian E. (Johnson) Erickson, 99, of Holden, Palmetto, FL and Falmouth, died peacefully on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at the Holden Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center. Lillian was born in Holden, the daughter of Elvira (Nelson) and Edwin H. Johnson and lived most of her life in Holden.           Lillian was predeceased by her husband of 39 years, Henry C. Erickson in 1980. She is survived by her son, Willis E. Erickson of Bay Pines, FL; three daughters, Charlene E. Latorre and her husband, Francis of West Boylston, Andrea E. Smith and her husband, Bradford of Palmetto, FL and Joyce E. Doane and her husband, Daniel of Peaks Island, ME; two brothers, Elden Johnson of FL and Philip Johnson of NY; three sisters, Mae Burgoyne of MI, Nancy O’Connor of Holden and Janice Johnson of Falmouth; 13 grandchildren, John, Andrea, Tracy, Brian, Mark, Scott, Erik, Karen, Erin, Willis Jr., Christine, Cheryl and Bonnie; 18 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. She was also predeceased by her brothers, Robert, Edwin, Andrew and Ralph Johnson; her sister, Anne Leonard; and her grandson, Daniel Doane.          Lillian graduated from Holden High School and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Holden, where she had been active for many years before moving to Florida. She worked in the cafeteria at Wachusett High School for over 16 years. Lillian enjoyed doing needlework and baking, especially her famous Swedish coffee buns. Above all she was devoted to her family, to whom she was known simply as “Great Mother”.           Relatives and friends are invited to gather with Lillian’s family, to honor and celebrate her life, from 12 noon to 2 pm on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden.
