STERLING – Julian L. Fedler, 80, of 47 Meeting House Hill Road, died peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Saturday, February 24, 2007.
He leaves his wife of 56 years, Eunice C. (Henderson) Fedler; a son, Matthew J. Fedler of Sterling; two daughters, Lynn E. Roseberry of Barre and Jean C. Beckner of Framingham; two brothers, Donald Fedler of North Brookfield and Louis Fedler of Raymond, Nebraska; a sister, Shirley Kularski of East Brookfield; three grandsons, Michael and Kyle Roseberry and Aaron Beckner; nephews and nieces. A sister, Helen Lamoureux, predeceased him. He was born in East Brookfield the son of Louis and Doris (Dumais) Fedler and lived over 50 years in Sterling.
Mr. Fedler was a project manager at George Meyer Manufacturing Company in Worcester, where he worked 41 years, retiring in 1989. He was a member of the First Church in Sterling, Sterling Lions Club, Sterling Historical Society, and the East Brookfield American Legion Post 386. He enjoyed bowling and golf. He was a World War II Navy Veteran and served in the Asiatic/Pacific Theatre.
A memorial service for Mr. Fedler will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 28, in the First Church in Sterling, 6 Meeting House Hill Road. Burial will be private in Oak Hill Cemetery, Clinton Road, Sterling. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sterling Fire Department Ambulance Fund, P.O. Box 515, Sterling, MA 01564. Miles-Sterling Funeral Home, 100 Worcester Road, Sterling, is directing arrangements.
