Leone M. (Delorey) Studley

STERLING – Leone M. (Delorey) Studley, 87, of 109 Swett Hill Road, died Tuseday, August 9, 2005, in Knollwood Nursing Center, Worcester after an illness.

Her husband of 62 years, Walter F. Studley, died in 2000. She leaves a son, Richard J. Studley of Sterling; two daughters, Judith N. Rielly of Sterling and Barbara C. Bernard of Auburn; ten grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. Three brothers, Raymond, Daniel and Blair Delorey, predeceased her. She was born in Brentwood, Maryland, the daughter of John A. and Nanna (Alhquist) Delorey, and lived in Sterling most of her life.

Mrs. Studley graduated from North High School in Worcester and worked as a waitress at the Franklin Manor Restaurant in West Boylston for 38 years. Previously, she worked at the Paxton Inn, Green Meadow Lodge at the Sterling Airport and Twin Oaks Restaurant in Sterling. She was a member of the First Church in Sterling and sang in it's choir. She was a member of the former “Kitchen Band” in Sterling.

The funeral service for Mrs. Studley will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 11, in The First Church in Sterling, 6 Meeting House Hill Road, Sterling. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Clinton Road (Rte. 62), Sterling. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Town of Sterling Fire Department, Ambulance Fund, P.O. Box 515, Sterling, MA 01564; or The First Church in Sterling, P.O. Box 40, Sterling. Miles-Sterling Funeral home, 100 Worcester Road, Sterling, is directing arrangements.
