FRAMINGHAM – Leonard E. Katz, 95, passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2021 at UMass Medical Center in Worcester. Born and raised in Dorchester, Len was the son of David and Rebecca Katz and lived the last 42 years in Framingham.
Len was a graduated from Boston English High School in 1942. Following graduation, he worked as a civilian technician for MIT’s Radiation Laboratory during WWII to help perfect Radar technology. Len later graduated from Northeastern University in 1952, where he majored in electrical engineering.
He worked as an Electronics Representative for much of the next 50 years. As the President and owner of Electro-Comp, Inc. he was one of the New England representatives for many large Electronic corporations, including Raytheon and Hughes Aircraft Company. He enjoyed being a Mason and was a long time member of Level Lodge of Masons in Shrewsbury. More than anything, Len cherished the time spent with his family, especially his beloved grandchildren.
Len is survived by his son Richard Katz and his soulmate, Lisa Audette of Worcester, MA; his daughter Dr. Debbie Klos of Folsom, CA; and his grandchildren, Robin Klos, Alexandra Klos and Daniel Klos.
Len’s family will gather for a private graveside service at Sharon Memorial Park. Funeral Services are under the direction of Miles Funeral Home of Holden.
