HOLDEN – Leo John Occhialini, 88, of 188 Princeton Street in the Jefferson section of Holden, died Thursday, December 15, 2005 in the Christopher House, Worcester.
He leaves his wife of 61 years, Annie Irene (Quatrale) Occhialini; two sons, David J. Occhialini of Casselberry, Florida and John L. Occhialini of East Longmeadow; two sisters, Hilda Amello of West Boylston, and Unes wife of Rene Arell of Jefferson; five grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Two brothers, Francis Occhialini of Jefferson and Silvio Occhialini, predeceased him. He was born in Winchendon, son of Andrew and Susie (Pandolfi) Occhialini, and lived most of his life in Jefferson.
Mr. Occhialini worked for San Cliff, Inc. in Jefferson for many years. Previously he worked for Duesburg-Bosson Company in Jefferson. He was a member of St. Mary’s Church and its men’s club; a charter member of the Wachusett Council of the Knights of Columbus, a member of the Greendale Men’s Club, and an enthusiastic Red Sox fan.
The funeral for Mr. Occhialini will be held on Tuesday, December 20, from the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, 114 Princeton Street, Jefferson. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, 1325 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. Calling hours are from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, December 19, in the funeral home.
