HOLDEN – Lena A. (Wood) McIntosh, 37, of 151 Union Street, died at home in the presence of her loving family on Friday, January 28, 2005.
She leaves her husband of 15 years, Dale E. McIntosh; her children at home, Dale E. McIntosh II, Heather M., Erica B. and Meagan N. McIntosh; her mother, Mabel M. (Hoopii) Wood and her step-father, Robert Petty of Worcester; three brothers, Gary Wood of Tacoma, Washington, Roger and Jeffrey Wood of Worcester; seven sisters, Gail Goodell, Patricia Whalen and Melissa Bitar of Worcester, Donna Trost of Downers Grove, Illinois, Cheryl Hanna of Little Ferry, New Jersey, Helena Keenan of Burlington, Vermont, and Arlene Bateman of Holden. She was born in Worcester, raised in Holden where she lived for many years.
Lena was a mortgage processor for Sherwood Mortgage in Leominster. She graduated from Burncoat High School. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church and enjoyed jet skiing and knitting. She most cherished spending time with her family and close friends.
The funeral Mass for Lena will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, February 1, in St. Mary’s Church, 114 Princeton Street, Jefferson. Burial will be in the spring in Grove Cemetery, Holden. Calling hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, January 31, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the McIntosh Family Education Fund, c/o Leominster Credit Union, 715 Main Street, Holden, MA 01520.
