FRAMINGHAM/HOLDEN – Lee Frances Cummings, 57, of 242 Union Avenue, Framingham, died unexpectedly at home on Friday, November 10, 2006.
She leaves her sons, Joshua L. Cummings of Treasure Island, Florida and Noah W. Cummings of Jefferson; her mother, Mary M. (Hirbour) Flandreau of Holden; and a niece, Katrina Stoll of North Carolina; and two grandchildren. Her brother, Stephen Cummings, died in action in Vietnam. She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late William E. Cummings, Jr. and lived in Holden before moving to Framingham six years ago. Lee was a graduate of Wachusett Regional High School and attended Hoffstra University in Long Island. She was a manager for SMOC in Framingham for 5 years, and was a sponsor for all people in need. Lee was an avid reader and movie critic. Her friends will remember her warmth and openness and the fact that she was always there for them.
In keeping with Lee’s wishes, there will be no funeral or calling hours. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held in Lee's memory at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 25, in the Unitarian Universalist Church, 90 Holden Street, Worcester. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Salvation Army, 35 Concord Street, Framingham, MA 01702; or the Framingham Public Library, 49 Lexington Street, Framingham, MA 01702. Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden, is directing arrangements.
