STERLING – Bertha L. (Cowan) Terry, 86, formerly of Sholan Terrace, Sterling, died peacefully on Monday, November 22, 2010 in Oakdale Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center, West Boylston.
She leaves three daughters, Betty A. Chapman and her husband Richard of Oakdale, Janet L. Graves and her husband, Barry of Leominster and Helen Salls of Claremont, NH; two sons, David C. Belville of Sterling and Delbert Richardson of Greensboro Bend, VT; a sister, Anita Welsh of Claremont, NH; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. A son, Dennis Belville, two sisters, Rosalee McLain and Pauline Davis, and a brother, Clifford Cowan, all predeceased her. She was born in Morrisville, VT, the daughter of Henry and Bertha (Macombe) Cowan and lived over 40 years in Sterling. Mrs. Terry worked at Sterling Manufacturing for over 10 years.
A graveside service for Mrs. Terry will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 27th at High Plain Cemetery, West Boylston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Town of Sterling Fire Department, Ambulance Fund, P.O. Box 515, Sterling, MA 01564. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Miles-Sterling Funeral Home, 100 Worcester Road, Sterling.
