WORCESTER – Lawrence B. Hoffman, 61, died unexpectedly on Sunday, October 16, 2022, at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester, after a period of declining health.
Larry was born in Boston, the son of Melvin and Ilene (Rudner) Hoffman and was a lifelong resident of Worcester.
Larry will be lovingly missed and remembered by his beloved wife of 40 years, Sharon (Hutchins) Hoffman; his mother, Ilene (Rudner) Hoffman; his brothers, Richard Hoffman and his wife, Jodi of Shrewsbury, and Alan Hoffman and his wife, Kathy of Lakeville; his daughter Leila Hoffman and her fiancé, Mike Lantz; and his granddaughter Wren Hoffman of Worcester. He also leaves his adopted daughter Natasha Cancel and her husband, David of Maryland; his nieces, Maggie, Ally and Julia; and his nephew William Hoffman and his fiancée, Shaelyn. He was predeceased by his father Melvin Hoffman in 2013.
Larry pursued a career as a computer programmer at the dawn of the computer age. His greatest love was helping his friends, family and neighbors enjoy the latest technology.
Family and friends will gather for a Graveside Funeral Service on Thursday, October 20 at 11:00 AM at Holy Society Cemetery, Havana Road, Leicester.
The family will be sitting Shiva at 14 Hickory Drive on Saturday evening from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Sunday from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
