Biography
PRINCETON – Lawrence R. Carreiro, 62, of Hickory Drive, formerly of Concord and Stow, died peacefully on Sunday, August 31, 2014 at Wingate Neuro-Rehabilitation Center in Worcester. Mr. Carreiro was born in Cambridge, the son of Florence T. (Marshall) and Lawrence J. Carreiro and was raised in Concord.
Mr. Carreiro graduated from Concord-Carlisle High School and went on to attend Middlesex Community College. He worked for 25 years as a telecommunications engineer for Digital Corporation.
Larry was an avid Boston and New England sports fan. He enjoyed coaching both Wachusett Pop Warner football and Princeton Little League when his sons were small. He was fortunate to go on a family vacation to Canada last year before he became ill. His family will cherish these memories always.
He is survived by his wife Nancy J. (McGrath) Carreiro of Princeton; two sons, Michael W. Carreiro and his wife Jennifer Markey of Westborough and James J. Carreiro of Northampton; his mother, Florence T. (Marshall) Carreiro of Concord; a sister, Donna M. Casey and her husband Christopher of Lexington; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements are private and under the care of Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden.
