Lauri M. Sipila

FITCHBURG/WESTMINSTER – Mr. Lauri M. Sipila, 76, of Fitchburg, formerly of Westminster, died peacefully at the Golden Living Center of Fitchburg on Friday, November 29, 2013. Mr. Sipila was born in Westminster, the son of Arvo and Aino (Mottonen) Sipila and lived in Westminster before moving to Fitchburg 10 years ago.
Lauri is survived by his cousins, Anita E. McKenney, Dr. Alvin Laasanen and William Sipila. He was predeceased by his brother, Walter Sipila. He was a long-time member of the Elm Street Church in Fitchburg where he leaves many dear friends. He had a passion for traveling and loved the outdoors.
Funeral arrangements are private and under the care of the Miles-Sterling Funeral Home and Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Road, Sterling. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 128 Providence Street, Worcester, MA 01604.
