CHERRY VALLEY - Laura R. (Shong) Dworman, age 60, died unexpectedly at home
on Sunday, June 30, 2024.
Born in Worcester, Laura was the daughter of Donald H. Shong and Charlotte A.
(Richburg) Daniels. Laura studied history and education at Salter College and Worcester State University, earning an Associate Degree. For many years she operated a family candy store, eventually working as an Executive Assistant to the President of Fabrico - a division of EIS.
Laura will be lovingly missed and remembered by her former husband, Alan P.
Dworman of Paxton; her beloved children, Christopher Andreolewicz and his wife,
Colleen, Seth Dworman, Carissa Dworman, and Elliott Dworman; her cherished
grandchildren, Teagan, MacKenzie, and Torin; and several nieces and nephews. She is
survived by her brother Christopher Y. Shong of Troy, Va. She was predeceased by her father, Donald H. Shong, and her sister, Lisa Marie Cullinan.
Laura was an avid gardener with a natural green thumb: she grew many flowers, fruits, and vegetables. She had a knack for raising the family pets (many dogs over the decades) who would loyally follow her everywhere. She also regularly enjoyed early morning jogs up Reservoir St and when vacationing in Waterville Valley, NH. She dedicated her life to raising her 4 children and actively volunteered in the Leicester school systems. Most of all, she was an incredibly devoted and loving mother and friend.
Family and friends will gather to honor Laura's memory at a Funeral Service at 12:00
noon on Friday, July 12th at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. Interment
will follow at B'nai Brith Cemetery, 55 St. John's Road, Worcester. Memorial Observance will be announced.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to National Kidney Foundation, 85 Aftor Ave., Suite 2, Norwood, MA 02062.
