LEOMINSTER – Lauli B. Santiago, 31, passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at Tufts Medical Center in Boston. Born in Leominster, she was the daughter of Luis Santiago and Pamela (Encarnacion) Brown.
Raised in Leominster, Lauli graduated from Leominster High School, earned her associates degree from Mount Wachusett Community College. Four years after receiving her heart transplant and second chance at life, she enrolled at Fine Mortuary College, where she was just about to finish her degree and fulfill her goal of becoming a licensed funeral director. She served as a mentor to parents and patients with heart conditions.
Lauli enjoyed horror movies, cosmetology, and going on adventures with her partner, stepson, and friends with a favorite spot being Nubble Lighthouse in Maine. She further enjoyed making make-up tutorials on YouTube, spending time with her sister, hitting a night out on the town and finding new places to visit, and spending time with her family.
She leaves behind her mother, Pamela (Encarnacion) Brown and her partner, Scott Johnson of Sterling; her father, Luis Santiago of Leominster; her sister and best friend, Yvonne (Bon) Brown and her partner, D.J. Lefebvre of Leominster; her partner, Jake Wurm and his son, Klaus of Goffstown, NH; her grandparents, Joseph P. and Patria M. Brown of Leominster; two nieces, Cadence Aquafesca and Nala Rosario; her Boston terrier, Mila and her cat, Ella; and many cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with her family on Thursday, December 22nd from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m. in the Miles-Sterling Funeral and Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Road, Sterling.
