Kris A. Erickson

RUTLAND – Kris A. Erickson, age 64, passed away on Monday, December 9, 2024, at UMASS Memorial Health – Marlborough Hospital surrounded by family.

Born in Holden, Kris was the son of the late Robert and Joan (Shortt) Erickson and was a lifelong resident of Central Massachusetts. After earning an Associate Degree from Quinsigamond Community College, Kris worked for many years running Avery Heights Builders in Holden. Kris had a passion for designing and building homes and took great pride in his work.

Kris will be lovingly missed and remembered by his beloved friend, faithful caregiver and former wife, Janice Erickson, along with his beloved children, Jennifer Erickson of Holden, Alicia Hume and her husband, Jacob of Hampton Falls, NH, Sean Erickson and his wife, Rafiella of Worcester, and Nicholas Erickson of Holden; his cherished grandchildren, Brooklyn, Jaxon and Mackenzie Hume; his brother, Bradford Erickson and his wife, Jill of Jefferson; and niece, Jinean.

Kris was a kind, patient soul. He loved the ocean and enjoyed many summer vacations on the coast of Maine with his family. He was passionate about animals, especially cats, several of which he rescued and cared for over the years. In his final years, Kris found joy in spending time with his three grandchildren, whom he adored.

Family and friends will gather to honor Kris at a Memorial Service at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, December 18th at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden.
