WORCESTER – Kourey Ryan McCabe of Worcester died unexpectedly on Friday, September 29, 2017. He was 27. Born in Worcester on November 30, 1989, Kourey was the son of Linda J. Anderson and the late Keith P. McCabe and lived here all his life. He will be affectionately remembered and missed by his family including the love of his life, his son, Bentley Keith McCabe “BK”; his fiancée, Kayla A. Marino; his beloved mother and confidant, Linda J. Anderson; his baby sister, Kennedy L. Anderson; maternal grandmother, Christine L. Anderson; paternal grandmother, Dianne McCabe; his Godmother, Gayle Zereski; and his lifetime best friend & “brother from another mother”, Gary Burnett and his fiancée, Deena Bishop and their son, Quintin; many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. Besides his father, he is predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Joel McCabe, his maternal great grandmother, “Mormor” Evelyn C. Anderson and his Godfather, Joey Zereski, Jr. Kourey was a graduate of Burncoat Senior High School class of 2007 and worked at Minuteman International in Fitchburg for the last several years. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Worcester. He enjoyed playing sports including baseball for Joe Schwartz Little League, football for Worcester Cowboys Youth Football, Worcester Youth Street Hockey, Worcester Youth Flag Football and playing basketball with his “boys.” He passionately followed New England sport teams particularly his favorite team, the New England Patriots. In his spare time you could find Kourey fishing at his favorite fishing spot on Demond Pond in Rutland or vacationing at Cape Cod with his family and going to his favorite location, Low Tide Beach, Sesuit Harbor. Some of his favorite memories came from camping with his Grammy Christine in New Hampshire and just spending time with his family. He was selfless by nature and was always willing to help a family member or friend in need. First and foremost Kourey enjoyed being a loving dad to Bentley and being at home with his family. He will be remembered for his hugs, contagious smile, and his engaging personality. Family and friends will honor Kourey’s life by attending a memorial service at 1 pm on Sunday, October 8, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 73 Lancaster St., Worcester followed by a gathering in Jeppson Hall at the church.
