JEFFERSON - Kimberly M. (Kinney) Callan, 52, passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at UMass Memorial Medical Center - University Campus in Worcester. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Marguerite R. (Savage) Sarasin, who died in 2011, her grandfather, Floyd J. Sarasin who died in 1996 and her mother, Donna M. Kinney, who died in 2000 and one of her closest friends, James (Sonny) Broquist who died in 2018.

Kimberly was born the daughter of Brian and Donna M. (Sarasin) Kinney and raised in Worcester by her maternal grandmother, Marguerite R. Savage Sarasin and Floyd J. Sarasin.

Kim graduated from Holy Name High School in 1990. She pursued her passion for literature by earning a Bachelor of Arts in English from Worcester State University. Her professional journey began as an Account Executive for Robb Report Magazine. Later, she excelled as the Northeast Marketing Manager for Fastenal Co. and as the Sales and Marketing Manager for Mark Altman and Associates Inc. Recently, she had taken on the role of Director of Business Development for Machado Consulting Inc. of Worcester.

Kim was known for her bold and sassy approach to life and was admired for her intelligence, insightfulness, and empathy, all of which were complemented by her trademark keen sense of humor. She found joy in the warmth of a fireplace on a cold winter's night, enjoyed talking about the latest trends in pop-culture and fashion and she loved sharing a good joke with friends, especially those with biting sarcasm. Above all Kim enjoyed spending quality time in the company of her beloved family and animals.

Kim will be deeply missed by the love of her life and fiancé, Thomas LaMarche of Jefferson; her loving daughter, Katharine Callan of Grafton, who Kim fiercely loved; her stepdaughter Emma and her husband Oren Abusch of Southern Pines NC; her best friend of 38 years, Lori Cutroni of Santa Barbara, CA. and close friends.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated staff at ICU 7 at UMass Memorial Healthcare, University Campus, Worcester; Dr. Ainun Haq and her Primary Care staff at UMass Memorial Healthcare, Grafton; and Dr. Savant Mehta and the Transplant Clinic staff at UMass Medical for their compassionate care of Kimberly.
