Kiernan L. Spinazzola

WORCESTER/OAKHAM – Kiernan L. Spinazzola, age 25, passed away suddenly on Wednesday evening, May 11, 2022. Born in Worcester, he was the son of Jan and Lesa (Barry) Spinazzola.

He leaves his loving mother, Lesa A. (Barry) Spinazzola of Oakham; his two sisters, Kelsey A. Spinazzola of Chicago, Delaney P. Spinazzola of Oakham; his partner, Brittney Kavanaugh; and many close friends. He is predeceased by his father, Jan A. Spinazzola, who passed in 2018.

Kiernan grew up in Worcester. Before graduating from Doherty High School in 2015, he was a Boy Scout for many years, and he and his family and friends enjoyed yearly camping trips. Those who knew him could almost certainly tell you that cars were his passion. Without any formal training, Kiernan learned how to repair even the most hopeless of cars, and often took on projects rebuilding old automobiles. He could put the correct name to any vehicle that passed him on the open road. He also enjoyed going to the gym, snowboarding during the winter, and doting on the family’s animals. He loved being outdoors, hiking, exploring and sitting by a bonfire with his friends. He loved spending time looking up at the night sky and watching the stars.

After his father’s untimely passing, Kiernan, without hesitation, took on more responsibilities around the house and within the family. He lived his last two years in Oakham with his mother and sister.

Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Worcester, 90 Holden St. A Memorial Service honoring his life will follow at 3:00 PM.
