Biography
WESTBOROUGH/RUTLAND - Kevin R. Gustafson, 54, formerly of Rutland, passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester. He is survived and will be lovingly missed by his father, Theodore A. Gustafson and his wife, Maureen C. of Rutland; his sister, Lisa Nabulsi of Windsor, CT; three uncles, Carl Gustafson of N. Brookfield, Alan Gustafson and his wife, Judie of Rutland, and Kent Gustafson and his wife, Elaine of Crawford, GA; an aunt, Christine Thompson and her husband, James of Young Harris, GA; a niece, Tania Nabulsi of Groton, CT; a grand nephew, Nathan Pearson, and cousins. Kevin's mother, Anita L. (Kelly) Gustafson, died in 1991. Kevin was born on July 30, 1961 at Holden District Hospital in Holden. He was raised in Rutland by his loving parents and graduated from Wachusett Regional High School in 1978 and attended Nichol's College in Dudley. Kevin worked at Norton Company as a work-space designer and later worked over 20 years as a designer for New Horizons Technologies, Inc. in Sterling. He passionately enjoyed architectural design and followed the works of architect, Frank Lloyd Wright. In his youth, Kevin was a member of Cub Scouts and played in the Tiger Baseball Little League both in Rutland. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Kevin's family from 9:30 until the time of his funeral service at 11 am on Monday, April 25, at the First Congregational Church of Rutland, 264 Main St., Rutland. Interment will be private at Rural Cemetery in Rutland. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sweetpea F.O.R. Animals, Inc., 1090 Pleasant St., Paxton, MA 01612 ( www.sweetpeafora.org ). Funeral arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden.
