Sterling - Kenneth A. Day, 105, died peacefully on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at UMass Memorial Health Alliance Clinton Hospital, Leominster Campus. He was born in Derby, VT, and raised by Myrtle and Maurice Day.
Kenneth graduated from High School and went on to earn an Associate's Degree from Dartmouth College. He managed Pinecrest Duck Farm in Sterling for 40 years before retiring in 1978. During this time, Kenneth lived in Sterling with his beloved wife, Marie. He owned his own photography business and took photos for the Town of Sterling and weddings for many years. After retirement, Kenneth and Marie lived in Key West and the Berkshires for many years. He was a member of the First Church in Sterling and enjoyed photography. Kenneth also enjoyed spending time at the Sterling Senior Center and was a member of the wii bowling league there. He will be dearly missed.
Kenneth was predeceased by his beloved wife of 68 years, Marie J. (Bisson) Day in 2010. He is survived by his sons, Nathan Day of ME, Dennis Day and his wife, Lisa of Sterling and Richard Day and his wife, Joanna of NH; his daughters, Carol Dalton and her husband, Richard of TN and Rachel MacPhee and her husband, David of SC; his brother, David Davio of CT; his sister, Elizabeth Cuthbertson of NC; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by his grandchildren, Robert and Kenneth.
