HOLDEN/PALM COAST, FL- Kenneth Jon Berggren, 77, of Palm Coast, Florida, passed away on Thursday, February 17, 2022. Ken was born in Worcester, Massachusetts, the son of Elsie and Henry Berggren. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Nancy Hassell Berggren; daughters Sandra and Jodi Berggren; daughter Jennifer and her husband Kevin Simes; grandchildren Abbygail and Michael Simes; brother A. Curtis Berggren; sister Janet Smith; sister and brother-in-law Carol and Robert Elwell; sister-in-law Linda Jodrey; and many other relatives and friends.
Ken and Nancy married in 1966 and shared a great love and respect for each other. He was immensely supportive of his daughters and grandchildren in their growth and interests. He was a kind, loving, and fun person.
Ken resided in Holden, Massachusetts for most of his life. The family moved into a farmhouse in 1980. There he and Nancy developed a successful Christmas tree business. He loved working on the farm outdoors and renovating the house. He became an extraordinarily skilled woodworker.
Ken earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree at Clark University. He was dependable and dedicated in his career at Paul Revere Life Insurance Company, and was able to retire to Naples, Florida in his early fifties.
Ken’s caring nature impacted many lives. He will be deeply missed but would want us all to thrive and enjoy life, carrying forward the invaluable gifts he so generously gave us.
