HOLDEN – Helen K. (Klebroski) Dewey, 81, of Holden, died on Tuesday, March 13, 2007, in Holy Trinity Nursing Home, Worcester.
Her husband, Thomas T. Dewey, died in 1994. She leaves her daughter, Susan M. Zuscak and her husband Richard of Barre; three sons, Christopher T. Dewey and his wife Carol of Valpriso, Florida, Timothy A. Dewey and his wife Donna of Hopatcong, New Jersey and Henry B. Dewey and his wife Dandy of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania; two grandchildren, Kelly Santella and Bradley Dewey; and a great-granddaughter, Mia Rose Santella. A son, Thomas S. Dewey and a daughter, Virginia Dewey, predeceased her. She was born in Brooklyn, New York, the daughter of Henry and Helen (Moroz) Klebroski, and lived in Florida and Holden before recently moving to Worcester.
Mrs. Dewey graduated from St. John’s University in New York and held a Master’s Degree in nursing. She was a Registered Nurse for over 40 years and worked 22 years for several Veterans Administration Hospitals including Lyons, New Jersey, where she was the Assistant Chief Nurse. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Jefferson and the Coast Guard Auxiliary.
The funeral for Mrs. Dewey will be held on Saturday, March 17, from the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, 114 Princeton Street, Jefferson. Calling hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 16, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Building Fund, St. Mary’s Church, P.O. Box 2200, Jefferson, MA 01522.
