Kathryn "Kathy" Dale

HOLDEN - Kathryn “Kathy” Dale, of Holden, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2025, at UMass Memorial Hospital in Worcester, surrounded by loved ones. She was 71.

Born in December 1953 in Longmeadow, Kathy was a proud third-generation resident of the town. She graduated from Longmeadow High School in 1971 and went on to earn her degree from Framingham State College in 1975. It was there, in October 1971, that she met the love of her life, Jeffrey Dale. They married in August 1974 and shared over five decades of love and partnership.

Kathy’s professional life reflected her hardworking and creative spirit. She worked at Jordan Marsh in Worcester, Hendries Frozen Foods in Southborough, and later at Creative Packaging in Worcester. No matter where she worked, her warmth and positivity left a lasting impression.

Family was at the heart of Kathy’s world. She is survived by her beloved husband, Jeffrey; her sons Brian and Michael Dale, both of Holden; her daughter-in-law Katharine (Kat) Dale; and her treasured grandchildren Bryar, Lily, Colt, and Kenneth, who brought her endless joy. She also leaves behind her dear sister, Peggy Remillard, and brother-in-law Gerald Remillard of Longmeadow, along with a wide circle of friends whom she considered family.

Kathy had a remarkable gift for connection. She became fast friends with nearly everyone she met, and her kindness, humor, and open heart will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held at Miles Funeral Home 1158 Main Street Holden, MA on Sunday April 27, from 4 PM to 7 PM.
