WORCESTER - Kathryn J. (Gambaccini) Schnare, 45, passed away suddenly on Sunday, February 21, 2016 in Orange County, CA. She leaves her three beloved sons, Wayne “Dino” Schnare and his wife, Melissa, Shawn Schnare and his wife, Caitlyn, and Dominic Schnare, all of Worcester; her four grandchildren, Shawn Jr., Jayden, Gabriella and Roman. She also leaves a brother, Anthony Gambaccini and his wife, Lindsey; a sister-in-law and good friend, Renee and her husband, Thomas; and countless number of nieces and nephews that always held a special place in her heart. She was predeceased by her brother, Mark Gambaccini, and her two lovable furry companions, Sargent & Trooper (who she loved like children). Katie was born in Worcester on January 12, 1971. She was the daughter of the late Albert and Doreen (Maki) Gambaccini. She graduated from Burncoat High School and earned her Nursing degree from Worcester Technical Institute. From CNA to LPN to Unit Manager, the advocacy and welfare of her patients was consistently the top priority. This was not just a “job”, yet served as her passion. Her compassion and care giving mentality went way beyond her life as a nurse and transcended into her personal life. As her children grew, she always welcomed everyone into her home and was always quick to offer her delicious stuffed shells, sausage bread and whoopie pies. One of her greatest loves was having her family together. In addition to her love for people, she enjoyed her annual summer vacations to Cape Cod and in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Both locations offered her many opportunities to explore her photography skills; it was here where she captured life-long memories with some of her closest family and friends. “I believe that tears can heal, that memories can comfort, that love lives on forever.” – Anonymous She will be deeply missed. We love you, Mom! Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Katie’s family from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, February 29, at the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden, followed by a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Massachusetts Adoption Resource Exchange (MARE), 45 Franklin Street, 5th Floor, Boston, MA 02110-1301; [
