Katherine M. (Derby) Lord

WORCESTER - Katherine M. (Derby) Lord, 86, formerly of Somerset Lane, Holden died Sunday, Jan. 23 in the Winter Hill Rest Home after a short illness.
Her husband of 50 years, Donald R. Lord died in 1997. She leaves a son, Donald R. Lord, Jr. and his wife Rebecca of Holden; three grandchildren, Zachery, Courtney and Wesley all of Holden; three nephews and a niece.
Mrs. Lord was born in Worcester, daughter of Thomas and Katherine (Keeley) Derby. She had worked in the office at Denholm’s Department Store in Worcester and was a member of St. George’s Church.
The memorial service for Mrs. Lord will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, January 28, in Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. Burial will be private in Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue, Paxton. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
