June Haley Almstrom

RUTLAND – June Haley Almstrom was born and passed on November 14, 2016 at UMass Memorial Hospital, Worcester.June, or “Junie” as she has affectionately been known, was deeply loved and cared for during the almost ten months she was growing with her family. Together they enjoyed the outdoors and looked forward to many great adventures in the woods, at the beach and everywhere else life would have taken her. Her family was so excited to welcome her. June will be deeply missed.June is survived and will be forever loved and missed by her mom and dad, Erin (Fitzgerald) and Russell Almstrom of Rutland; her sisters, Sarah and Grace Almstrom of Rutland; her maternal grandfather, Paul Fitzgerald of Berlin, Germany; her paternal grandparents, Russell and Lois Almstrom of Holden; her maternal great grandparents, Jeremiah and Joan Fitzgerald of Rutland; her aunt and uncle, Haley Fitzgerald and Michael Pederson of Boston; and uncle Christopher Almstrom of Rutland.June’s family would like to thank the nurses and doctors of UMass Memorial Hospital for the compassionate and excellent care they provided over the past week.Relatives and friends are invited to visit with June’s family on Monday, November 21, from 5-7 p.m. at the Miles-Sterling Funeral and Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Road, Sterling. A service celebrating and honoring June will then be held at 7p.m.  Family and friends are also welcome to attend the graveside services being held on Tuesday, November 22, at 12 Noon in Beech Grove Cemetery, Rockport. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the Fund for Nature, ( www.massaudubon.org )  Mass Audubon, 208 South Great Road
