Julie A. Hart

October 13, 1945 — August 9, 2020

HOLDEN – Julie A. Hart, 74, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, August 9, 2020. Born in Long Beach, CA, she was the daughter of the late Isaac D. and Martha Mae (Reed) Hart.

Julie spent her childhood in Long Beach where she graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School. Around that time, she met Roland Woodill, who was in the Navy at the time. Roland, who was originally from the Worcester area, convinced Julie to move back home to start their family in West Boylston. In the 1970’s, Julie started working part time for Honey Farms. Some local sales representatives noticed her sales ability and she was soon after hired to work for Wrigley and later Nabisco.

She will be remembered for her sense of humor, her love of adventure and most of all her love and devotion to her family. She loved playing cards and was extremely good at crossword puzzles. Even up to her last days, she was always keeping her mind going. She loved to learn and expand her knowledge on history. She enjoyed and was very talented at creating silk floral arrangements.

On her 65th birthday, she made the trip of a lifetime, she traveled to Egypt and spent fourteen days there, boating down the Nile River, exploring pyramid ruins and even went on a camel ride. She had always dreamed of going there and she enjoyed every moment. Julie spent much of her time over the last years between both the Worcester area and Lake Havasu City, AZ where her sister lives.

She will be lovingly missed by her two daughters, Barbara J. Sambito and her husband, Tom of Jefferson and Darlene M. Quiry of Paxton; her sister, Sandra L. Campbell and her husband, Dan of Lake Havasu City, AZ.; four grandchildren, Adam, Rachel, Steven and Andrew; niece Terry and nephew David; and her uncle Ralph Reed and his wife, Lei.

Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours from 4:00 to 6:00 pm on Thursday, August 13, at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. A Funeral Service honoring and remembering her life will be held privately. The Funeral Service will be live streamed beginning at 10:00 am on Friday, August 14 at this link: https://client.tribucast.com/tcid/71517175 .
