RUTLAND – Julia J. (Tokarz) Zaczek, 84, of 43 Barre Paxton Road, died at home on Friday, May 12, 2006 after a long illness.
Her husband of 45 years, Anthony J. Zaczek, died in 1990. She leaves her son, James A. Zaczek and his wife Karen of Jefferson; a daughter with whom she lived, Shirley Ann McQueston and her husband Russell of Rutland; a brother, Stanley Tokarz of Worcester; 10 grandchildren, James, Heather, Gloria, Mark, Kayla, Jailene, Infiniti, Tonya, Cindi, and Molli; 13 great-grandchildren, Kiely, Justin, Christopher, Connor, Griffin, Michaela, Brianna, Arianna, Brooke, Alana, Dylan, Kyle and Jake. Five brothers, John, Frank, Samuel, Paul, Walter Tokarz, a sister, Nellie Tokarz, and a grandson, Todd Welsh, predeceased her.
Mrs. Zaczek was born in Holden, daughter of Peter and Wlowystorwa (Gorogorjia) Tokarz, and lived most of her life in Jefferson prior to moving to Rutland three years ago. She was a Dietary Aide at Holden Hospital for many years, retiring in 1982. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church and loved to cook and bake.
The funeral for Mrs. Zaczek will be held on Monday, May 15, 2006, from the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, 114 Princeton Street, Jefferson. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue (Rte. 56), Paxton. Calling hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, May 14, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the VNA Care Network, 120 Thomas Street, Worcester, MA 01608-1280.
