RUTLAND – Judy G. (McGlothlin) Ronayne, 57, of 9 Crestview Drive, died on Monday, November 21, 2005 in South Fulton Memorial Center, Atlanta, Georgia, after an unexpected illness.
She leaves her husband of 38 years, James M. Ronayne; three daughters, Michelle L. Arnold of Hixson, Tennessee, Lori A. and Lisa M. Ronayne both of Rutland; four sisters, Edith Ramey of Grafton, Ohio, Linda Deneau and Evelyn Byington both of Oak Harbor, Ohio, and June Bennett of Port Clinton, Ohio; three grandchildren, Charles and Matthew Arnold and Alena Arnold who was born on Nov. 15th. Two brothers and three sisters predeceased her. She was born in Honaker, Virginia, daughter of Fred and Martha (Harris) McGlothlin. She was raised in Port Clinton, graduated Port Clinton High School, lived in Alexandria, Virginia, Worcester, before moving to Rutland in 1974.
Mrs. Ronayne worked for the U.S. Navy while in Virginia where she met her husband who was stationed there. While living in Worcester, she worked five years for the Reliance Insurance Co. in Worcester. She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Rutland and was a devoted mother and grandmother.
The funeral service for Mrs. Ronayne will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 28, in the First Congregational Church, 264 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Rutland. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue (Rte. 56), Paxton. Calling hours are from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, November 27, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to the American Diabetes Association, 330 Congress Street, 5th Floor, Boston, MA 02210.
