RUTLAND - Judith M. (Dussault) Butterfield, 80, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, October 31, 2021. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of D. Merrill and Catherine (McSweeney) Dussault and had lived most of her life in Rutland.
She leaves her loving husband of 50 years, Charles M. Butterfield; her son, Ian R. Butterfield and his wife, Dianah of Rutland; her precious grandchildren, Colton and Brooke; her brothers, Merrill Dussault of Northborough and William Dussault of Grafton; and nieces and nephews.
Judy was an English teacher for over thirty years at David Prouty Regional High School in Spencer before retiring in 2001. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church and the Rutland Historical Society.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, November 7th in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. Funeral services for Judy will be held on Monday, November 8th with a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Patrick's Church, 258 Main Street, Rutland. Burial will follow at Rural Cemetery in Rutland. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the UMass Memorial Fund - Breast Cancer Research Fund, 333 South Street, Shrewsbury, MA 01545.
