HOLDEN – Judith W. Allen, age 78, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, October 19th, 2021. Born in Newfoundland, Canada, she was the daughter of Charles W. and Priscilla Allen.
Judy worked for many years as a receptionist. She was a passionate reader, spending lots of time at the Gale Free Library searching for her next literature undertaking. Every year, she looked forward to traveling back home to Newfoundland, Canada where she would spend three months catching up and spending time with her family. Lastly, she always had a strong interest in genealogy and walking through cemeteries.
She is survived by her cousin, Sandra Fritscher and her husband, John of Barre, their children, Matthew, Steven and his wife Kim, and Scott Fritscher and his wife, Kristie; Scott’s children, Adam and James Fritscher; her other cousin, Robert Hobbs and his wife, Lorie of CT; and their daughter Elizabeth and her husband, Pat. She leaves cousins Charles, Katherine, William and Audrey Hobbs. She also leaves 3 sisters and 3 brothers residing in Newfoundland, Canada.
At this time, there are no services planned. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Gale Free Library, 23 Highland St., Holden, MA 01520.
