WORCESTER – Jane J. (Sendrowski) Samko, 94, formerly of Wyola Drive, Worcester and Harwich, died peacefully on Wednesday, July 2, 2008 in the Radius Healthcare at Worcester, after an illness.
Her husband, Charles M. Samko, died in 1997. She leaves two daughters, Stephanie A. Beland and her husband Richard of West Brookfield and Joanne E. Sheperd with whom she lived; a brother, Chester Sendrowski of Holden; four grandchildren, Jason Beland of Centerville, Virginia, Justin Beland of Fairfax, Virginia, Stacie Beland Polissack of Millbury and Jessie Beland of Brandon, Florida; four great-grandchildren, Jake, Abby, Elizabeth and Joshua Beland all of Virginia; nephews and nieces. Two brothers, Henry and Edmund Sendrowski, predeceased her.
Mrs. Samko was born in Gardner, daughter of Stanislaw and Alexandra (Harubin) Sendrowski, and lived in Worcester and Harwich. She was a graduate of Commerce High School in Worcester. She was a member of the Holy Trinity Church in Harwich and she enjoyed traveling with the Polish Club and Worcester Clubs, both in Dennis; and bowling and reading.
Funeral services are private in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. Memorial donations may be made to the Second Chance Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 136, East Brookfield, MA 01515.
