WORCESTER – Irene J. (Ryan) Kinnear, 83, beloved wife of Theodore G. Kinnear, died peacefully at her home on Wednesday, January 12, 2011, with her loving family by her side, following a long illness.
In addition to her husband Ted of 58 years, she leaves four daughters, JoAnne Kinnear Brown and her husband Robert of Georgetown, Cynthia Kinnear of Worcester, Madeline Kinnear of Hookset, NH and Christine (Kinnear) Carlo and her husband Daniel of Grafton; four grandchildren, Danielle and Shayla Carlo and Christina and Justin Brown; and many nieces and nephews. A sister, Marie (Ryan) Allen and her beloved daughter, Mary Kinnear Raymond predeceased her. She was born and raised in Worcester, the daughter of Harold P. and Mary (Griffin) Ryan, and had lived in Worcester all her life.
Irene was a member and communicant of St. George’s Church in Worcester, where she taught C.C.D. for a number of years. She was an animal lover and talented oil painter, who specialized in still lifes. She loved spending time with her friends, whom she fondly called “the girls” and was best known for her sense of humor and generosity.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a calling hour from 12 to 1 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 15th, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. In lieu of flowers, donations in Irene’s memory may be made to the Overlook Visiting Nurse Association, Donations, P.O.
