RUTLAND - Joy M. (Henne) Bousquet, age 88, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester. Joy was born in Worcester, the daughter of Adolph and Madeline L. (Baehr) Henne.
Joy grew up in Shrewsbury and resided in Holden and Rutland most of her life. In her youth, she worked at the Worcester Knitting Company, and went on to work as a department secretary in the Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics departments at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester.
Joy’s passion was spending time at home with her family, enjoyed bowling with friends, antiquing, reading and crocheting, and was an avid pet lover.
She will be lovingly missed by her partner, John Scully, her son, Bryan C. Bousquet of Holden; three daughters, Sandra J. Bousquet of Rutland, Diana L. Chiamis and husband Paul of Antioch, TN, and Rhondi B. Bousquet and partner Roger Farland of Holden; two grandchildren, Jennifer L. Bousquet and Travis D. Farland; and two great-grandchildren, Jailynn M. Flaherty and Mason R. Flaherty. She is predeceased by her two sisters, Marjorie Hoyt and Patricia Marr.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Worcester Animal Rescue League, 139 Holden St., Worcester, MA 01606. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden.
